AFFECTED VEHICLES

CONDITION 
The customer may report an excessive ticking noise from the engine.

TECHNICAL BACKGROUND

Ticking noise comes from one of the cylinder heads. If during diagnosis the noise appears to be more audible in the upper engine or cylinder head area,
one or more camshaft lobes or camshaft followers may be suspect (excessive wear).
