Insert determined adjustment shim -1 and swing bracket for intermediate bearing -2- to other side.

Place second adjustment shim -4 on to stud -3-.

Now tighten both plastic nuts of installation device -arrow A- again.

Centering drive shaft lengthwise

Slide drive shaft with alignment fixture toward rear to stop.

-

Mark location of intermediate bearing to assembly (arrow -A-)

-

Slide drive shaft with alignment fixture toward front to stop.

-

Mark location of intermediate bearing to assembly (arrow-B-)

Center drive shaft (arrow C):

-

Intermediate bearing must be centered between markings A and B.

-

Tighten intermediate bearing in centered position to 25 Nm (arrow C).

-

Then remove mounting fixture.

Installation is reverse of removal, noting the following:

Install exhaust system free of stress.
