Triple Roller Joint AAR 3300 I, Disassembling

Removing

-

Clamp drive axle horizontally into vice.

Note:  Use protective jaws.

Make sure the drive axle is not damaged.

-

Mark position of joint piece to drive axle

-

If they are not marked and are not re-installed in their previously installed positions, noises may occur later during driving operation.

-

A water-proof felt pen is well-suited for marking.

-

Open tensioning clamps (arrows).

-

Slide back CV boot.

-

Insert T40018 special tool behind joint piece

-

Guide pin -1- must make contact with exterior of joint piece.

-

Turn the knurled bolt -2- at joint piece until T40018 special tool makes contact.

Note:  
-

Joint piece must be secured in T40018 special tool without play.

-

Tighten bolts -2- by hand
