Flex Plate: Service and Repair

Drive plate for automatic transmission 01V:

Removing
Transmission removed

WARNING:  Turning of the engine must only occur in direction of engine rotation (clockwise) at the crankshaft.

-

Turn crankshaft via central bolt of toothed belt gear in direction of engine rotation to TDC Cyl. 3 marking.

Notch -1- is opposite marking -2

-

If installed, disconnect electrical harness connector at after-run coolant pump.

Unscrew sealing plug of TDC mark at cylinder block.

-

Thread T40026 locking pin into the hole of the removed sealing plug and tighten.

Note:  Slightly turn crankshaft back and forth to do so.

Mark drive plate to engine.

-

Remove drive plate.
