Cellular Phone Transceiver: Service and Repair

Telephone Transceiver

Telephone Transceiver (R36) is located in front of left front seat under floor covering

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Protective Cap For Cable Connector (VAS 6223/9)

Turn off all electrical consumers.

-

Remove ignition key.

-

If control module is replaced, select "Replacement" function for appropriate control module in "Guided Fault-Finding" routine. 

Use the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051) to do so.

Removing

-

Position left front seat all the way back.

-

Fold back the floor mat. 

-

Disengage cover of electronics box and open the box - arrows  -.

The Telephone Transceiver (R36) is only wedged into the electronics box.

-

Pry Telephone Transceiver (R36) -  1 - out of electronics box - 2 - in direction of arrow.
