60 Water Marks on the Headlining, Water Drain Hose of Sunroof Kinked

Condition

Water is entering the area between the A-Pillar and B-Pillar above or around the inside rear-view mirror.

Technical Background

The drain hose of the sunroof on the A-Pillar may be kinked. This reduces the water flow from the sunroof frame.

Production Solution

Modified routing of the drain hose.

Service

Replace the damaged drain hose. Route the new hose as shown in the illustration. Especially observe the routing around the wiring loom.

Before pulling out the damaged hose, connect the new part with the old hose. This makes it easier to fit the new part.
