Distance Sensor: Removal and Replacement

ACC sensor, removing and installing

Sensor is located behind radar cover in front bumper.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Torque wrench V.A.G 1783

Removing

-

Remove front bumper cover.

-

Disconnect harness connector - arrow -.

-

Remove hex bolts - 1 -.

-

Remove ACC sensor.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Note:  Studs in bracket are preset. If necessary, correct adjustment.

Place sensor on a soft and clean surface.

Measure dimension - a - of all studs.

Dimension - a - must be 

34 mm
