When fitting NEW holder Part No: 4F0 260 197 B:

-

Install old dryer -B- to new holder -1-.

-

Install washer -4- over SHORT threaded end of double bolt -3-.

-

Install SHORT threaded end of double bolt -3- to side member -5- and tighten to 6 Nm. This leaves the LONG threaded end of the double bolt free
for dryer holder to be fastened to it with nut -6-.

Install NEW buffer bolt -2-, Part No: 4F0 121 268, to side member in place of old hex-head bolt and tighten to 6 Nm.

Slide assembled dryer/holder onto double bolt -3- and buffer bolt -2-.

Fasten dryer/holder assembly to buffer bolt using NEW nut, Part No: N 904 861 01 (M6 nut)

Fasten the dryer/holder assembly to the double bolt using the nut -6-.

-

Install bolt 7

-

Tighten all bolts and nuts installed to 6 Nm.

Tip:

Replace 0-rings ONLY if damaged during repair.

-

Reinstall all refrigerant hoses which were removed for the repair.

-

Refill refrigerant system according to instructions in Repair Manual. See Group 87, Air conditioning system.

When procedure applies to vehicles within the New Vehicle Limited Warranty, use the table.
