Connect multimeter between terminal - 2 - and - 3 - for resistance measurement.

Fuel Level Sensor G installed:

Sensor at lower stop: approx. 760 to 1003 Ohms
Sensor at upper stop: approx. 70 to 105 Ohms

NOTE:

-

If measured value is 0 Ohms there is a short circuit. If measured value is Infinite Ohms. there is and open circuit in the wiring.

To check resistance values "tank full" or "tank empty", the fuel delivery unit must be removed and the floater of the sensor must be placed in
upper or lower end position.

With fuel gauge sensor removed, the following values are obtained because of the greater deflection of the floater arm:

Fuel Level Sensor G removed:

-

Sensor at lower stop: approx. 1004 Ohms

-

Sensor at upper stop: approx. 50 Ohms

Assembly is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

install rear seat bench.
