Accelerator Pedal Module, Removing And Installing

Removing

-

Remove the left knee bolster.

-

Disconnect the electrical harness connector - 2 -.

-

Remove bolts - 1 - and - 3 -.

-

Remove the accelerator pedal module.

Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal, noting the following:

Tightening torque

Accelerator pedal module to pedal mount........................................................................................................................................................................9 Nm

Install the left knee bolster.

NOTE:  If the Throttle Position (TP) Sensor G79 / Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor 2 G185 or the SIMOS Control Module J361 is replaced in a
vehicle with an automatic transmission, the kick-down function must be adapted.

Procedure

-

Switch the ignition on.

-

Press the accelerator pedal down past the kick down point and hold for at least 20 seconds.

-

Release the accelerator pedal.

-

Switch the ignition off.
