Affected vehicles

97 Fault entry in vehicle electrical system control module

Condition

DTC 00003 (Control unit faulty) is found logged in the vehicle electrical system control module (J519) during fault memory interrogation.

The DTC cannot be erased.

Generally, there is not a customer complaint or vehicle malfunction.

Technical Background

Emergency operation diagnosis is not correct.

Production Solution

A new software in the vehicle electrical system control module (J519) resolved the problem.

If there is not a customer complaint or vehicle malfunction, perform no further diagnosis or repairs for this DTC.
