Remove left and right side upholstery - 1 - => [ Rear Seat Side Upholstery ] See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Rear Seats.

Remove bolts - 4 - (Qty. 2).

-

Pull side airbag - 3 - downward out of protective cover - 2 -.

‹› Installing

To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order. When doing so, note the following:

Switch on ignition.

CAUTION!
No one should be in vehicle when connecting battery.

Connect battery ground strap.

Follow measures after connecting battery.

‹› If the airbag malfunction indicator lamp (K75) indicates a malfunction after assembly, check the DTC memory with the vehicle diagnosis, testing

and information system (VAS 5051B), clear it, and check it again.
