Carefully loosen trim panel spring pins - 1 - from instrument panel using Trim Removal Wedge 3409.

NOTE:  The instrument panel vent has a hole on both sides for attaching the hook 3438.

Carefully pull instrument panel vent out of installation opening on both sides using hook 3438.

If instrument panel vent cannot be removed, proceed as follows:

-

Position instrument panel vent blades so they are horizontal.

-

Release retaining clips -arrow- by inserting watchmaker screwdrivers - 2 - and - 3 -.

-

Pull instrument panel vent out of installation opening on both sides using hook 3438, thereby keeping watchmaker screwdrivers inserted.

-

Disconnect electrical connectors.

-

Unscrew light switch - 3 - in position "0".

-

Unfasten spreader pin - 2 - at air duct - 1 - and remove air duct.

-

Reaching through opening above instrument panel vent, grab light switch from side and push it out of instrument cluster - arrow -.

-

Disconnect electrical connector.

-

Press cover strip - 1 - on instrument cluster switch panel in - direction of arrow -.

-

Grab cover strip and pull off from switch.
