Ensure anti-rotation protector - 5 - engages in door shell.

Press insulation onto door shell.

‹› For failure-free crash sensor function, you guarantee effective door seal after installation.

‹› Replace insulation if adhesive sealing material is damaged or dirty.

Switch on ignition.

CAUTION!
No one should be in vehicle when connecting battery.

Connect battery ground strap.

Follow measures after connecting battery.

‹› If the airbag malfunction indicator lamp (K75) indicates a malfunction after assembly, check the DTC memory with the vehicle diagnosis, testing

and information system (VAS 5051B), clear it, and check it again.

Pull the retainer - 4 - downward and out -  arrow A -, press it down - arrow B - and disconnect the electrial connector - 5 - on the crash sensor -  3

‹› Ignore - items 1 and 2 -.
