Installing
Installing
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Pay attention to the following:

Always replace O-ring behind flange.

Lightly lubricate outer circumference and sealing lips of oil seal with gear oil.

Coat outer circumference and sealing lips of sealing ring with gear oil.

Fill area between sealing lip and dust lip halfway with sealing grease G052128A1.

Drive new seal in as far as the stop; be sure not to distort seal.

Drive on driveshaft flange until securing nut can be fitted onto pinion shaft.

The threads on the pinion shaft and securing nut must be cleaned so they are free of grease residue, and then coated thinly with thread locking
compound D000600.
