Brake Pedal Assy: Adjustments

Brake Light Switch -F-, Adjusting

Before adjusting, pedal cluster must be bolted tightly to brake servo unit and instrument panel carrier

Pedal bracket with internal thread for mounting brake light switch
1. Brake light switch
2. Nut, M12 x 1.5

Part No. N 011 020 8

3. Brake pedal

Note:  A spring washer, Part No. N 012 042 4 (not shown in illustration) is installed between nut -2- and the pedal bracket.

CAUTION:  Part numbers are listed here for reference only.

Turn brake light switch to adjust inward or outward as necessary to obtain distance -A-.
Distance -A-: 0.1 - 0.5 mm (0.004 - 0.020 inch)

Secure switch in place by tightening nut -2-.
Tightening torque: 4.5 Nm (40 inch lbs.)

After securing switch, check distance -A- again.

Cruise Control System Vent Valve, Adjusting 

-

Insert vent valve into clip and push through to stop.

-

Push back valve by pulling back pedal brake to stop.

Note:  The valve must be installed only once in order to assure that it is adequately tight.
