Axle Beam: Adjustments

AXLE BEAM, ALIGNING TO VEHICLE 

Aligning axle beam transversely

Determine distance between axle beam and longitudinal member.
Gap -a- must be same on left and right-hand sides.

Aligning axle beam longitudinally

Measure dimension -a-.
Dimension -a-: 504 mm +/- 2 mm (19.84 inch +/- 0.08 inch)

Tighten bolts for axle beam (always replace bolts).
Tightening torque: 110 Nm (81 ft. lbs.) + 1/4-turn (90°)

After installing, test drive vehicle and check position of steering wheel.

If steering wheel is not in straight ahead position, carry out wheel alignment
