VAG1459 B/2 supplementary kit

Remove hex bolt for drive axle.

-

Remove wheel and raise vehicle.

-

Pull out safety washer -1- and disconnect parking brake cables from brake caliper.

Note:  Be careful not to damage parking brake boot when removing and installing cable.

Remove adapter with brake caliper and hang on body with tie wire.

-

Remove brake disc and backing plate.

-

Remove ABS wheel speed sensor from wheel bearing housing.

-

Unscrew bolt -2- for control arm -1-.

-

Pull wheel bearing housing off drive axle and swing out.

Note:  Place VAG 13831A transmission lifter underneath (danger of accident if parts fall off when ejecting wheel hub and wheel bearing).
