CAUTION!  Do not run engine with the oil pan removed or without the ATF flied up and do not tow vehicle.

The parts listed in the following illustration can be removed with the transmission installed.

Coat sealing ring with ATF. Other lubricating substances lead to functional problems in the hydraulic transmission control.

1. Adjustment shim

Behind bearing ring

^

Shim size carefully determined and cannot be replaced with just any other.

2. Bearing ring

Remove and install by hand

3. O-ring

^

Always replace

Coat with transmission fluid

4. Locking screw - 35 Nm

For checking gear oil

5. Bolt-25 Nm
