Torque Converter Oil Seal, Replacing

Torque converter oil seal replacing 
Special tools and equipment

VW 681 - extractor lever

3455 - Installation drift

-

Remove transmission.

-

Install transmission in repair fixture, or place on level ground.

-

Carefully pull out torque converter.

-

Remove circlip -item. 2.

-

Remove seal with extractor lever VW 681.

Note: 
^

Position extractor lever VW 681 directly behind sealing lip to avoid damaging wave washer-item. 4.

^

Replace wave washer if damaged.

^

Replace circlip if damaged.
