Location: 

The Tiptronic switch is integrated in the printed circuit of the symbol insert located in the cover of the shift mechanism.
It consists of three Hall- sensors (-A-, -B-, -C-) that are triggered by a magnet on the slide cover.
A - Sensor for downshift
B - Sensor for Tiptronic recognition
C - Sensor for upshift

In case of problems check Tiptronic switch in OBD "Measuring value block" or check electrically

In case of malfunction first check whether the magnet on slide cover -C- is properly mounted, if necessary replace slide cover. Only replace symbol
insert with integrated printed circuit after checking wiring. For vehicles with Tiptronic steering wheel also the buttons and their wiring connections on
the steering wheel must be checked.
