Shift Mechanism, Removing and Installing
Shift mechanism, removing and installing
Removing
^
Move selector lever to "P".
^
Obtain radio anti-theft code.
^
Disconnect battery ground cable.
^
Remove handle from selector lever.
^
Remove center console and extension.
^
Disconnect electrical connection.
^
Remove cover.
^
Lift vehicle.
^
Disconnect exhaust system with catalytic converters from rear section of exhaust system and suspend with wire.
^
Remove heat shield -A- above drive shaft.
^
Remove heat shield -B- for drive shaft from cover for Torsen differential -arrows-.
^
Disconnect drive shaft at transmission and support or hang up with wire.
^
Remove rubber sleeve from selector lever cable at cover of shift mechanism and push backward .
^
Remove cover from mounting bracket - arrows-.
