Insert determined adjustment shim -1- and swing bracket for intermediate bearing -2- to other side.

-

Place second adjustment shim -4- onto stud -3-.

-

Tighten both plastic nuts of installation device -arrow A- again.

Centering drive shaft lengthwise

Slide drive shaft with alignment fixture toward rear to stop.

Mark location of intermediate bearing to assembly (arrow-A-)

Slide driveshaft with alignment fixture toward front to stop.

-

Mark location of intermediate bearing to assembly (arrow-Be)

Center drive shaft (arrow C):

-

Intermediate bearing must be centered between markings A and B.

-

Tighten intermediate bearing in centered position to 25 Nm (arrow C).

-

Remove mounting fixture.
Installation is reverse of removal, noting the following:

Install exhaust system free of stress.
