‹› The piston - 2 - is pulled upward and the release tabs - 1 - on the Release Tool (T40148) spread - arrows -.

Remove the Rear Cigarette Lighter (U9) from the rear center console.

Disconnect the electrical connector.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:
CAUTION!
Risk of injury.
‹› After removing the Release Tool (T40148), check to see if the lighter retaining tabs are bent.
‹› If the retaining tabs are bend, bend them back so the lighter does not slide out.

Remove the support - 1 - on the Release Tool (T40148).

Slide the piston down and hold it in place.

Rotate the thumbwheel - 4 - on the Release Tool (T40148) counter-clockwise - arrow -. This loosens the release tabs - 2 - on the Rear Cigarette
Lights (U9) - 3 - so that the Release Tool (T40148) can be removed.
