HID Headlamps with Dynamic Cornering Light, A6 and S6, Through May 2008

High-Intensity Gas Discharge Lamp Control Module

Removing

CAUTION!
Danger to life due to high voltage.

‹› Usage and safety information for gas discharge headlamps. Refer to=> Electrical System General Information 94.

With ignition switched off, disconnect battery Ground (GND) wire. Refer to=> [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] See: Starting and
Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Battery.

Remove headlamp. Refer to=> [ Headlamp ]. 

-

Remove screws - arrows -.

-

Pull High-intensity Gas Discharge Lamp Control Module off from headlamp housing.

Installing

‹› Tightening specification. Refer to=> [ HID Headlamps Assembly Overview, A6 and S6, through May 2008 ] See: Service and Repair/Removal

and Replacement/HID Headlamps Assembly Overview, A6 and S6, Through May 2008.

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

Check seal between High-intensity Gas Discharge Lamp Control Module and headlamp housing.

Install headlamp. Refer to=> [ Headlamp ].

Connect battery. Required actions => [ ] See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Battery.

Adjust headlamps after installing.
