‹› The airbag unit securing screw - 3 - must be opposite the cut-out in bottom of steering column trim - 1 -.

Remove the bolt - 2 -.

-

Turn steering approx. 160° left and remove left airbag unit screw.

-

Bring steering wheel to center position (wheels straight).

CAUTION!
Before disconnecting connectors, technician must discharge electrostatic energy. To do this, briefly touch door lock, for example.

Pull driver's airbag unit from steering wheel a bit.

-

Push connector lock - 4 - to stop - arrow  -; this disconnects electrical connection - 2 - and it can be removed.

-

Remove airbag unit - 1 - from steering wheel.

-

If applicable, disconnect electrical connection - 3 -. 

-

Place airbag unit so padding faces upward.
