Fuel Level Sensor

Removing

‹› All cable ties which are opened or cut open when removing, must be replaced in the same position when installing.

Observe rules for cleanliness. Refer to => [ Clean Working Conditions ] See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Service
Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Clean Working Conditions/Fuel Supply System.

Remove fuel delivery unit. Refer to => [ Fuel Delivery Unit ] See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Pump/Service
and Repair/Fuel Delivery Unit.

Cut the cable ties - 2 - and separate the electrical connection - 1 -.

Release the retaining tabs - arrows - with a screwdriver and pull the fuel level sensor upward and out.

Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal, noting the following:

‹› During installation, the cable ties must be re-installed at the same location.

Insert fuel level sensor in the guides on the fuel delivery unit and push down until it engages.

Connect the electrical connection and check that it is securely engaged.

Install fuel delivery unit , observing notes for connecting battery. Refer to => [ Fuel Delivery Unit ] See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery
