Final drive/transmission housing oil seal, replacing 09L, 6 Speed AWD A/T

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Drip tray for workshop hoist VAS 6208

^

Extractor lever VW681

^

Thrust piece T10139

Requirements 

^

Transmission is removed

^

Transmission mounted on assembly stand

CAUTION!
Do not place transmission down on ATF cooler or oil pan.

Procedure

Note: 
^

A faulty seal allows gear oil to enter the torque converter bellhousing.

^

Read the rules when working on the automatic transmission.

Place drip tray for workshop hoist VAS 6208 under the transmission.

-

Remove flange shaft (right-side).
