Crankshaft: Specifications
Torque Specifications and Tightening Sequence

Crankshaft Bearing caps

Replace bolts -A- and nuts -1 to 8-.

Inserting alignment bushings into cylinder block

-

Tighten bearing cap nuts or bolts in the following sequence:
1. Tighten bolts -A- by hand.
2. Tighten nuts -1 to 8- to 35 Nm.
3. Using rigid wrench turn nuts -1 to 8 an additional 90° (1/4 turn.
4. At the same time, tighten bolts -A- to 20 Nm.
5. Using rigid wrench turn nuts -A- an additional 90° (1/4 turn.

Read Clearance

Clearance when new .............................................................................................................................................................................  0.018 to 0.045 mm
wear limit  ............................................................................................................................................................................................................  0.08 mm
