Air Spring: Service and Repair
Removing
^
Remove suspension strut first
^
Mark position of shock absorber- air spring piston - mounting bracket.

Remove mounting bracket
^
Unscrew nut -1-
^
Use new nut
Tightening torque: 60 Nm
^
Remove air-spring bellow upward.
Installing
Installation is the reverse of removal.
^
Coat rubber sealing ring -2- with G 052 150 A2 lithium lubricant.
^
Align shock absorber - air spring piston - mounting bracket. according to mark.
^
Be sure auxiliary spring is properly seated in cover
^
Lower rubber sealing ring must be dry and dust-free.
Lower rubber sealing ring must be placed on the second step of the strut tube from the top.
