Rear Lid Gas-filled Strut

Gas strut

‹› To remove, open and support rear lid.

‹› Using screwdriver, lift retaining spring - 2 - as shown and remove gas-filled strut - 1 - from upper ball stud -  3 -.

Retaining spring

‹› => [ Disengage retaining spring ] slightly lift the gas-filled strut with a screwdriver to remove it

Ball head pin

‹› 20 Nm

Rear Lid

‹› After completely removing gas-filled strut, ensure correct position when installing.

‹› Noise insulation element must be engaged in rear lid side.

Installation

Installation is reverse of removal, noting the following:

To install, press gas-filled strut onto ball head pins so that it engages in position.
