‹› 2 technicians are needed to disconnect the last connections and remove headliner.

Release clips on rear clip - arrows -.

Sedan:

-

Remove headliner through windshield opening.

Avant:

-

Lower headliner on left side of vehicle - arrow 1 -. 

-

Pull headliner out through rear lid opening - arrow 2 -. 

Installing

‹› Threaded holes on roof grab handle and sun visors must be cleaned of all locking compound residues after removing. Otherwise, new screws could

lock up when installed and shear off when removed again.

‹› They can be cleaned with a thread cutter.

‹› Replace self-locking screws.

Align headliner.

-

Install sealing lip of rubber seal on all door cut-outs with Trim Removal Wedge (3409) over headliner edge.

Further installation is performed in reverse sequence of removal, but observe the following:

Sedan:

-

Install windshield => Body Exterior 64 Removal and Installation.

All:

-

Install D-pillar trim => [ D-Pillar Trim ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Trim, Avant.
