D-Pillar Trim

D-Pillar Trim

Removing

CAUTION!
Observe the safety precautions for repairs on airbags. 

-

Remove tie-down retaining tracks => [ Tie-Down Retaining Rail ]. 

-

Remove rear cross panel trim => [ Rear Cross Panel Trim ].

-

Remove luggage compartment side trim => [ Luggage Compartment Side Trim ]. 

-

Remove roof panel trim => [ Roof Panel Trim ].

-

Remove the bolt - 1 -.

-

Pull D-pillar trim - 2 - up from body - arrow  -.

Installing

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

‹› Upper D-pillar trim threaded holes must be cleaned of locking compound residue after removal. Otherwise, new screws could lock up when

installed and shear off when removed again.

‹› They can be cleaned with a thread cutter.

‹› Replace self-locking screws.

‹› Replace damaged spring clamps.

Install roof panel trim => [ Roof Panel Trim ].

-

Install luggage compartment side trim => [ Luggage Compartment Side Trim ]. 

-

Install rear cross panel trim => [ Rear Cross Panel Trim ].

-

Install tie-down retaining tracks => [ Tie-Down Retaining Rail ].
