Brake Pedal Mounting Bracket

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1410)

‹› Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1331)

Removing

-

Remove cover on the driver side. 

-

move adjustable steering column all the way back (opposite direction of travel)

-

Disconnect accelerator module connector - 1 -.

-

Remove the brake lamp switch - 2 -. Refer to => [ Brake Light Switch ] See: Lighting and Horns/Brake Light Switch/Service and Repair.

Remove the brake lamp sensor - 2 -. Refer to => [ Brake Lamp Sensor ] See: Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators/Lamp Out
Indicator/Lamp Out Sensor/Service and Repair

Disconnect brake pedal from brake booster. Refer to=> [ Brake Booster ] See: Power Brake Assist/Vacuum Brake Booster/Service and Repair

-

Disconnect connector - 1 - on Clutch Pedal Switch (F36).
