Brake Fluid Pressure Sensor/Switch: Service and Repair

Brake Pressure Sensors

Removing

-

Raise vehicle.

‹› The brake pressure sensor is attached to the brake pipe distributor. The brake pipe distributors are located in the engine compartment on the right

and left sides.

‹› The brake pressure sensors can be interchanged.

‹› The old 1J0. brake pressure sensors cannot be bled.

‹› Replace the old sensors with new ones so that it is possible to bleed the brake system completely.

‹› The new brake pressure sensors have a part number that starts with 4F0.

Remove wheels.

Remove nut - 1 - and fold cover away to the side.

Unclip wiring harness.

-

Open the plastic housing cover.

-

Disconnect the brake pressure sensor connector - 1 -.
