Air Door Actuator / Motor: Adjustments

Center Vent Adjustment Motor

‹› A potentiometer with an adjustment range of 120 ° is installed in this control motor, its part number at the start of production has index " A".

‹› Mark the motor/door connecting elements when removing (danger of swapping with connecting elements from the other control motors).

‹› Mark the control motors prior to removing them, follow the correct assignment when installing and the correct part number and index when

replacing (the various control motors have different electrical values and are different in the part number index).

‹› In the event of fault "Upper or lower limit value exceeded", check connecting element of engine/door, it must be attached to engine accurate to

side and there must not be any clearance between actuator mount and connecting element.

Removing

-

Switch off ignition.

-

Remove the driver side storage compartment. 

-

Mark connector - C - to control motor (danger of interchange with other connectors of same construction).

Disconnect connector - C - from the Central Vents Control Motor (V102).

Remove bolts - A - (torque 10 Nm).

Carefully lift the connecting element - D - off the control motor - B - with a screwdriver, and remove the control motor.

‹› In vehicles with a "Comfort" version of the A/C system, if the Indirect Ventilation Door Control Motor (V213) is in such an unfavorable position

that the connecting element -  E - prevents removal of the control motor, remove the element => [ Indirect Ventilation Flap Motor ] See: Service

‹› The connecting element - D - to the door shaft remains on the A/C unit.

Installing

Installation is carried out in the reverse order, when doing this note the following.

Check the position of the control motor shaft - B -, it must be located in the position depicted.
