Connected to Dealer's Local Area Network (LAN) with Internet access prior to booting up tester.

Equipped with Ethernet card and security certificate.

Vehicle requirements:

Battery MUST have minimum no-load charge of 12.5V (failure to maintain voltage during update process can lead to Control Module failure) (use an
approved battery charger to maintain battery voltage).

Minimize any voltage draw to vehicle (radio, and other accessories switched OFF, apply Emergency brake to switch running lights OFF if applicable)

Procedure:

Update software for airbag control module Part No: 4F0 910 655F, SW level 260/270 to SW level 300 using Software Version Management (SVM)
(Refer to Technical Bulletin number 01-06-06 for SVM instructions)

If update does not load via SVM, (see illustration 01-A414 in SVM Technical Bulletin, if flash container is not found), insert CD Part No
W42A65WU300 into tester and continue with update (use prompt 1 repeat search)

Use following SVM Code: NA4F69JBII

ONLY perform update and codeing for Airbag module

After update is complete:

-

Choose prompt to view changes, print screen to confirmation update, and attach screen print to vehicle service file.

The system will automatically continue with the coding function.

Follow prompt to code airbag control module and clear fault upon exiting GFF
