Carefully release catches - arrows - and remove return spring with slip ring - 1 - from steering column switch module (SMLS).

‹› Shown in illustration with steering column switch module (SMLS) removed. 

Installing

Installation is reverse of removal, noting the following:

Ensure all catches and connections engage cleanly.

Guide upper steering column switch trim into lower trim catches, push both pieces together and screw in.

Install lower instrument panel trim on driver side => [ Lower Driver Side Instrument Panel Cover ] See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding /
Trim/Utility Storage Compartment/Service and Repair/Storage Compartments and Covers.

Install steering wheel => [ Steering Wheel ] See: Steering Wheel

Install driver side airbag unit.
