‹› Removing

-

Remove the rear bench seat => [ Bench Seat ] See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Rear Seats.

-

Remove seat belt anchor - 1 - => [ Remove belt anchor ]. 

-

Remove 2/3 rear seat backrest => [ Right 2/3 Backrest ] See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Rear Seats.

-

Remove 2/3 rear seat backrest upholstery until you can remove anchor with upholstery => [ 2/3 Backrest Cover and Upholstery ] See: Body and
Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Overhaul/Seat Upholstery, Covers/Rear Seat Covers and Upholstery.

-

Remove screw - 4 -.

-

On vehicles with belt tensioners: Open fuse - 15 - with a screw driver and disconnect connector - 9 -.

-

Remove nut - 10 -.

-

Remove seat belt - 8 -.

‹› Installing

To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order. When doing so, note the following: 

-

Place an adapter plate - 7 - in anti-rotation protector -  5 - if needed.

-

Insert seat belt - 8 -.

-

Ensure seat belt is seated correctly on anti-rotation protector -  5 - or adapter plate - 7 -.

-

Install nut - 10 - and tighten lightly by hand.

-

Align seat belt - 8 -. Horizontal frame edges must be parallel to tube - 6 -.

-

Tighten nuts - 10 -. Hold seat belt in aligned position by counterholding with screwdriver.

-

On vehicles with belt tensioners: Ensure connector - 9 - engages and close securing clip - 15 -.

-

Clip belt guide cover in by hand - 12 -.

-

Ensure retainer tabs - 11 - (Qty. 2) engage in body. 

-

On vehicles with belt tensioners: Check belt wear detection => [ Rear Three Point Seat Belt with Belt Tensioner, Checking Belt Fastening
Detection ] See: Testing and Inspection/Seat Belts, Inspecting.

‹› The belt relay - 3 - and belt webbing - 2 - must not touch or graze foam pieces or anchor pieces.

‹› Belt relay - 3 - must follow each belt webbing movement. 

‹› Belt webbing - 2 - must move freely in all directions.
