Seat belts, inspecting

CAUTION:  A systematic check of seat belt system must be carried out after every accident. If any damage is identified (see section on points to
check), customer must be informed that one or more of seat belts have to be replaced.

Check points

Check belt webbing

-

Check retractor (locking function)

-

Visual inspection of belt buckle

-

Belt buckle function test

-

Check belt guide rings and locking tongue

-

Check securing components and anchorage points

NOTE:  If customer refuses to have a damaged seat belt replaced, appropriate note should be made in service book.
