Drivers Front Airbag Crash Sensor G283 And Front Passenger's Front Airbag Crash Sensor G284 , Removing And Installing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

-

Torque wrench V.A. G 1410

CAUTION:  Observe safety precautions for work on airbags.

-

Switch on ignition. 

NOTE:  Contrary to description "Disconnecting and Connecting Battery", battery must be disconnected when removing airbag with ignition
switched on.

Disconnect the battery ground (GND) strap.

-

Open hood.

Left airbag crash sensor

-

Push wiring harness to side.

Right airbag crash sensor

-

Remove air duct.

Procedure for both crash sensors

-

Press part - 3 - (brown) of connector - 4 - towards crash sensor and release connector.

-

Remove connector - 4 - (yellow) from crash sensor - 1 -.

-

Remove bolts - 2 - (2x).

-

Remove front airbag crash sensor - 1 -.
