Connector

Front side airbag crash sensor (pressure sensor)

Removal
-

Disconnect the battery ground (GND) strap.

-

Remove door trim.

-

Peel back insulation until you gain access to nuts - 4 - (2x).

-

Remove nuts - 4 - (2x).

-

Locate crash sensor through opening in door shell - 2 -.

-

Press retainer - 3 - on connector - 1 - in direction of arrow and remove crash sensor - 2 -.

Installing 
Installation is reverse of removal. When doing so, note the following:
-

Ensure anti-rotation protector - 5 - engages in door shell.

-

Press insulation onto door shell.

NOTE:
-

For failure-free crash sensor function, you guarantee effective door seal after installation.

-

Replace insulation if adhesive sealing material is damaged or dirty.

-

Switch on ignition.

CAUTION:  No one should be in vehicle when connecting battery.

-

Connect battery ground strap.

-

Follow measures after connecting battery.

NOTE:  If the Airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) K75 shows a malfunction after assembly, DTC memory must be checked
with Vehicle Diagnostic, Testing and Information System VAS 5051 B, cleared and then rechecked.
