Oil Pressure Regulator Valve: Service and Repair

Oil Check Valve, Replacing

Note:  If irregular valve noise occurs repeatedly during short drives and disappears after extended driving, the oil check valves must be replaced.

Remove intake manifold.
Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7 ft. lbs.).

Remove breather housing located below intake manifold.
Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7 ft. lbs.).

Replace oil check valves -1-.
Tightening torque: 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).

Note:  The oil distribution pipe -2- for the oil spray jets for piston cooling is also located in the opening.
