Push out cylinder in threaded spindles and fix with safety bolts.
Make sure that the safety bolts (arrows) are correctly positioned!

Lower vehicle onto distance caliper VAG1925.

Raise vehicle: Rough terrain suspension 1BB 

Note: 
^

During the next step make sure that the wheels do not lose contact with the turntables  when the vehicle is raised!

^

If this should happen anyway, the turntables may not be moved. Otherwise, the result of the measurement will be incorrect!

^

Apply axle lift to the front jacking points and raise vehicle.

Note:  Raise vehicle by 40 mm.

^

Take off adapter VAG1925/6.

^

Push out cylinder in threaded spindles and fix with safety bolts.

^

Remove adapter (VAG1925/6)

^

Lower vehicle on distance caliper.

Vehicles which have been in accidents 

Before checking or adjusting the toe or the toe constant "S" on these vehicles, the center steering arm must be in midway position.
^

Put center steering arm in midway position as instructed by wheel alignment computer. 

If you are performing an alignment on a vehicle which has been involved in an accident, you must use centering bolt VAG1907.

Tighten VAG1907 by hand

^

Check whether the steering wheel is mounted as horizontal as possible on the steering column when the "wheels are straight".

^

Reposition steering wheel, if necessary. Otherwise centering of toothed shaft cannot  be guaranteed.

Vehicles having an electronic stability program 
If the steering wheel is repositioned on these vehicles, the basic setting of the steering angle sensor must be checked!
