Install new self-locking nut -4- and tighten to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).

-

Tighten bolt -3-.
Max. tightening torque: 5 Nm (44 inch lbs.).

Install ABS wheel speed sensor.

-

Install splash guard and tighten bolts to 10 Nm (7 ft. lbs.).

-

Install brake disc.

-

Install brake caliper and tighten bolts to 120 Nm (89 ft. lbs.).

-

Install wheel and tighten bolts to 120 Nm (89 ft. lbs.).

-

Install and tighten new bolt for drive axle.
Tightening torques:

M14 bolt: 115 Nm (85 ft. lbs.) + 1/2-turn (180°) 

^

M16 bolt: 190 Nm (140 ft. lbs.) + 1/2-turn (180°) 

WARNING:  The vehicle must be standing on its wheels when loosening or tightening the bolt for the drive axle. Otherwise the risk of an
accident exists.

Check front suspension alignment and, if necessary, adjust using VW/Audi approved wheel alignment equipment.
