Note:  The sealing lips of the oil seal can be damaged if the intermediate flange is installed carelessly.

All models 

Note:  When tightening the bolts for the first time by hand, be sure that the housing gap between the cover and the transmission housing
diminishes uniformly all the way around.

Check ATF level and top off.

Vehicles with all wheel drive

Install transfer case.

Tightening torques 
Cover for front final drive to transmission housing .....................................................................................................................................................  23 Nm
Intermediate flange for front final drive to transmission housing ................................................................................................................................  23 Nm
Transfer case retransmission housing .........................................................................................................................................................................  23 Nm
