Remove cowl retainers (3x) -arrows-.

Carefully remove cowl panel (lower windshield trim).

-

Road test for noise again.

If noise is not eliminated:

Contact your Audi Dealer Technicians Helpline.

If noise is eliminated, perform procedure as shown:

Apply thin felt strips Part No: 533 867 91OA (qty. 2 required) along entire length of plenum chamber cover -1- where cover fits into groove -3- of
cowl panel -2- (for further detail see illustration 85-A003).
