Trim For Side Curtain Airbag (Sedan)

B-pillar Upper Trim, Removing And Installing

WARNING:  Observe safety precautions when working on side curtain airbag

B-pillar upper trim

Removing
-

Remove outer seatbelt anchor

-

Remove intermediate piece for B-pillar trim

-

Remove D-pillar trim

-

Remove A-pillar trim

-

Remove bolt - 6 -.

-

Remove bolts - 4 - at brackets, left and right of B-pillar.

-

Carefully press airbag unit - 5 - upward.

-

Be sure not to damage airbag module with tools when removing.

-

Remove bolt - 2 -.

-

Remove bolt - 3 - (1x).

-

Carefully pull out upper B-pillar trim under airbag module - 5 -.

-

Disconnect harness connector for interior monitoring Fig. 2.

-

Disengage retaining clips - 10 - upward, from lower B-pillar trim - 9 -.

-

Remove 3-point seatbelt - 11 - from B-pillar trim.
