This new bumper design (form fit flush bumper with zero overhang) seems particularly prone to create this appearance.

To demonstrate this shadow effect, a set of painted demonstration panels together with a mounting base which incorporates a straight through cut as well
as a 10° off-set cut were provided to each Dealer in Sept. 1997.

Note:

Please familiarize yourself and use this display unit to demonstrate to our Customers that the paint panels do in fact match when mounted in the
straight through cut.
