Backrest Heating Element, Removing And Installing

Removing and installing backrest heating element (glued)

NOTE:  If the heating element is sewn into the cover, the cover must also be replaced.

-

Remove seat.

-

Remove backrest cover.

-

Cut electrical wire - 2 - off old heating element - 1 -.

-

Glue new heating element onto old heating element (avoid creasing).

-

Insert heating element into folds at locations marked - A -.

-

Insert wire - 2 - into slot - B - provided.

Removing and installing backrest heating element (slid into seat cover)

-

Remove seat.

-

Remove backrest cover.

-

Pull backrest heating element out of backrest cover fabric.

-

Push specially made hook (own manufacture) through openings in backrest cover.

-

Engage new backrest heating element in hook and pull it into backrest cover.

-

After pulling it into position, fold back projecting heating element material.

CAUTION:  When pulling the heating elements into position, make sure that they are not bent over or crumpled.
The projecting heating element material must not be crumpled when installing the backrest cover fabric.
